Tagattitude is thrilled to announce its latest technology, NFC2.0™.

NFC2.0™ is an elegant, universal and easy-to-use technology that enables contactless mobile transactions across any network using any smartphone.

This purely software-based alternative to classic Near Field Communication (NFC) allows application developers to extend the advantages of NFC to all smartphones, regardless of their hardware or operating system and without an NFC chip.

About NFC2.0™

Tagattitude's well-established Near Sound Data Transfer (NSDT™) technology has been the go-to contactless transaction technology for basic phones and smartphones alike and is used today in nearly 30 countries.

The new NFC2.0™ technology builds on this proven technology while harnessing the power of the smartphone to enable contactless transactions using any smartphone app.

NFC2.0™ has already been integrated into a TagPay application making in-store payments with a smartphone or iPad simple, efficient and secure. The app is featured in Apple's AppStore and will soon be available on the Android Market.

NFC2.0™ for any App

NFC2.0™ will be offered as a contactless transaction service that is easy to integrate with any smartphone application. Developers will have access to a Software Development Kit and public APIs to facilitate this integration.

A TagPay "in the Cloud" will be optionally available for those applications handling financial transactions to use the TagPay architecture and features.

The NFC2.0™ developer space will be available beginning of 2012.
